Self-Heal?
Im very sorry if someone already asked this in anoter thread. But would a War need to bring self heal if he's playing with a Pug or H&H?
Thank You

"Need"? Not really. Always take a Monk Hero and/or Henchman when you can. But if you want to take a self-heal, go ahead - I know I can remember a lot of times when it would've come in handy. More likely what you'll want is condition removal - nothing like being Blind, Weakened and Crippled in the middle of a melee.

Warriors do not need self heals while pugging or H/H. When I play on my war I never take a self heal. I don't need it as my heroes still heal me. It is just a waste of a spot imo to bring a self heal for a warrior in PvE while Pugginig or H/H.

PuG? Probably. I wouldn't count on everyone else to save my life.
H/H? Not if you have good healers.

That depends upon opinion.
Ideally, no. Let healers heal. Let wars kill.
Realistically, especially in pugs..prudence may dictate a self-heal. Just don't use Heal Sig next to that vicious ele boss in HM....

I'd take Lion's Comfort/Healsig if you're with a PuG or are trying out a new H/H team build.
for the PuG, it's because they more than likely aren't particularly good and you might want that safety blanket when Breeze/Orison monks just aren't cutting it.
For the H/H - it's an indicator. If I put healsig on my bar and actually find myself wanting to use it, then there's something to be worked on with the team's build so that I no longer find the need for a self-heal.
For organized PvP, friend/guildie groups and tried-and-tested H/H teams, a self-heal is utterly useless.

Or natural healing.
But this sums it up:

I believe if you can keep [[Save Yourselves!" (Luxon)] up during the difficult parts of the Mission/Quest, the PUG monks will probably be able to concentrate on healing you - even bad monks. The way I use it is, I attack normally and keep an eye on the red bars, when I see them starting to drop, I hit SY every time it charges. With this wonderful skill, you can keep a team alive often in an over aggrod mob and two Healing Breeze. Orison of Healing, Heal Other monks
EDIT: Of course this same horrible group will probably wonder "Wtf! Why is the stupid Wammo taking so much dmg!" And you'll get kicked after the Mission is over. lol

If you're going Strength, bring Lion's Comfort.
If you're going Tactics, bring Healing Signet.
Unless, of course, you're a W/Mo, then there's a bunch of other options.
I NEVER trust a healer, human or hero. That's just the way it is.
Human: "let's get halfway in and go AFK in the middle of a fight!"
Hero: "minion or player minion or player HEAL THE MINION!"

Trust Mhenlo. If WoH can't keep you alive, you're doing something wrong.

Mhenlo's a blithering idiot. He might have the best skill set of the henchthing healers, but when the H/H's start dying, I find that he's almost always first. Really gotta start adding [[Ebon Escape] to my W/R's bar - it'd certainly help when Mhenlo or another one of my squishies is getting pounded on. (the teleportation portion - the healing'd just be a minor bonus)

I say always bring at least 1 self-heal, I never trust anyone with healing me 100%, thats the main reason why I hate Ursan even. It is up to you, but I say for pugs, ALWAYS bring a self-heal, if with people you know are good at monking and/or h/h not that much of a self heal.

Generally I find in a PuG you need at least [lions comfort] just to cover your self when the Monks are kiting and your getting low or when other team mates are taking too much damage and the monks ignore you.
If your H/H you shouldn't need it since you can easily force a needed heal from a Hero as you require it.

Well, usually your monks can sustain you pretty well. However, running frenzy is sometimes dangerous, so a self heal might be helpful.

I blindly trust the pug to have at least have mediocre healers. Usually with my gentle nudges and ample application of SY, my group will make it through. This doesn't count the groups with smite monks masquerading as heal monks, fire storm warriors, etc - Talking about normal PUGs here.
As bad as many PUGs are, I still can't bring myself to replace one of my DSlash skills with a self heal. Save Yourselves! works well enough in most situations.

lol wut? Doesn't happen.
Generally: PuGs tend to suck, so take something to keep your bar up in the rough spots. In well put together teams like H/H (assuming a good player), guild groups, friends, etc, you won't really need one because you'll work together better and you'll just do better.
